Levelling of the historic wooden beam ceiling and professional installation of a herringbone & panel parquet floor that we had dismantled. The original floors were carefully restored and then fitted precisely - traditional craftsmanship in a listed old building setting.

Restoration and installation of a historic wooden floor from our stock. The refurbished material was reinstalled with precision craftsmanship - characterful floorboards with a past in a new setting.

A journey into the past
The historically valuable building, which was largely in its original state, was extensively modernised and renovated in compliance with the guidelines of the Federal Office for the Protection of Monuments.
At the beginning, we had the task of replacing damaged or missing floor boards true to the original - in total, we delivered around 200m² of historic floor boards in restored/prepared condition.
The floor construction was made according to traditional models with a wooden construction and was adapted with a water-bearing underfloor heating system.
Natural materials such as wood, clay and lime were used as far as possible.

One of the most impressive and visually beautiful projects we have ever supplied with old building materials.
In 2018, we were commissioned to deliver several loads of old bricks to 40 Geblergasse without knowing what a unique object it was.
In the beginning, in the 1830s, the Gschwandner establishment was a wine tavern, now it is a modern event building.
Here is an interesting insight into the design of a chalet with its own gym in Switzerland.
